Persona5: The Phantom X Weapons Guide — Best Gear
Updated 2026-06-03
Weapons in Persona5: The Phantom X are not just stat sticks — they have unique passives that can define your build. This guide covers the best weapons for each role as of Version 4.0.
Best Weapons by Role
| Weapon | Type | Base ATK | Passive Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Razor Edge | Sword (DPS) | 285 | Crit damage +35% |
| Shadow Coat | Armor (DPS) | 180 | ATK +12%, HP +8% |
| Mona's Whisker | Weapon (Healer) | 220 | Healing +25%, SP cost -15% |
| Queen's Shield | Armor (Tank) | 150 | DEF +20%, taunt on hit |
| Panther's Claw | Weapon (Fire DPS) | 260 | Fire damage +30%, Burn chance |
| Skull's Hammer | Weapon (Phys DPS) | 300 | Phys damage +25%, stun chance |
| Crimson Ring | Accessory | — | Crit rate +10% |
| Silver Amulet | Accessory | — | SP regen +5/turn |
Do not waste resources upgrading every weapon. Focus on one weapon per role (DPS, Healer, Tank) and max it out. The stat multiplier from leveling a weapon from 1 to 50 is roughly 2x — worth every material.
Weapon Gacha vs Crafting
You can get weapons from the weapon gacha (70-pull pity) or craft them from materials dropped in palaces. The gacha weapons have unique passives that crafted weapons cannot match, but crafted weapons are more than adequate for all PVE content. Unless you are chasing PVP ranks, save your currency for character banners and use crafted weapons.
FAQ
- Do weapons have level requirements?
- Yes. Each weapon has a minimum character level (usually 10/20/30/40/50 tiers).
- Can I change weapons mid-battle?
- No. Equipment is set before combat.
- Is there a "best" weapon for all characters?
- No. Each character has a recommended weapon type (Joker uses swords, Ann uses claws, etc.). Using the wrong weapon type reduces stats by 50%.
