Version 4.0 is the biggest update Persona5: The Phantom X has seen since launch. Dropped in late May 2026, it adds a new palace, two new characters, and a complete overhaul of the endgame loop. Here is what changed.
New Palace: The Museum of Vanity
The Museum of Vanity is Palace 7, a massive multi-floor dungeon themed around art and ego. The boss is a twisted version of a famous painter whose Persona reflects their obsession with fame. The palace introduces a stealth mechanic where you need to blend into crowds of mannequins — get caught and you are swarmed. It is the hardest palace in the game so far, and easily the most creative.

Endless Abyss Mode
This new roguelike mode lets you enter a randomly generated dungeon with one character. You fight through floors, collect buffs (called "Revelations"), and try to survive as long as possible. The deeper you go, the better the rewards — including a new cosmetic set exclusive to Abyss runs.

- All content except Akechi's banner is free. The palace, Abyss mode, and Personas require no payment.

- No. Version 4.0 continues the main story but does not conclude it. More chapters are coming in 5.0.

- Yes. You must complete Palace 6 and reach player level 55 to unlock it.
