Persona fusion in Persona5: The Phantom X works similarly to Persona 5 Royal — but with a few key changes. This guide covers the fusion system, recipes for the best Personas, and tips for efficient fusing.
How Fusion Works
Visit Igor in the Velvet Room (unlocked after Chapter 2). Combine two or more Personas to create a stronger one. The result's level is based on the average level of the materials, and its Arcana determines which skills carry over. New in Phantom X: "Resonance Fusion" lets you use three Personas to create a Persona from a different Arcana entirely — great for filling gaps in your roster.

Best Early Fusion Targets
For early game (levels 10–25), fuse Jack Frost (Ice, heals) and Hua Po (Fire, high damage). Mid-game (25–45), aim for Loki (Dark, debuffs) and Oberon (Electric, AOE). Late-game (45+), fuse Shiva (Phys, almighty) and Alice (insta-kill specialist). A properly fused Alice with "Die for Me!" can clear trash mobs instantly.
FAQ
- Can I cancel a fusion?
- No. Once fused, there is no undo. You can summon the original Personas from the Compendium if you registered them.
- Should I register all Personas?
- Yes. Every Persona you obtain should be registered in the Compendium immediately. This lets you resummon them later for a fee.
- Is there a fusion calculator in-game?
- No official one, but community tools exist. The game does show possible fusion results before you commit.
